ASHE Lake Erie Section 2016 Outstanding Transportation Project Award
LOR-57-19.42 Corridor Improvement Project, ODOT District 3
KS Associates won the 2016 Outstanding Transportation Project Award from the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Lake Erie Section. KS Associates' project, the LOR-57-19.42 Corridor Improvement Project, received the award due to its complexity, innovation, and benefit to the traveling public.

ACEC of Ohio Engineering Excellence Award
Surveying for the Redesign and Reconstruction of Cleveland Public Square
KS Associates won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the 2017 ACEC of Ohio Engineering Excellence Awards competition. KS Associates' project, Surveying for the Redesign and Reconstruction of Cleveland Public Square” was recognized for demonstrating a high degree of uniqueness, ingenuity, and value.

WTS Northeast Ohio - Leadership Award
Lynn S. Miggins, P.E., President
Lynn is the recipient of the annual WTS Northeast Ohio Leadership Award. This award was established to recognize and honor individuals who have exhibited outstanding leadership in the transportation community by promoting the advancement of women in transportation.

ENR-Midwest 2015 Best Projects Competition - Merit Award
KS Associates provided extensive surveying services for the Norfolk Southern Moorman Rail Yard Expansion Project (Bellevue, Ohio). The project won an Award of Merit in the category of Airports/Transit in ENR’s Midwest regional competition. KS provided services as a subconsultant to lead design firm Michael Baker Jr. Inc. and to construction management firm STV, Inc. ASCE Cleveland Section - 2015 Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award

Lynn was chosen as the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year Award by the Cleveland Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The award annually recognizes a civil engineer who has prominence in the community and who has worked hard to advance the civil engineering profession.

Elyria YWCA 2013 Women of Achievement Award
Lynn S. Miggins, P.E., President of KS, was among an elite group of women recognized by the Elyria YWCA with the 2013 Women of Achievement Award. The award was established to honor women who have made substantial inroads toward eliminating racism and empowering women.

Cleveland Engineering Society (CES) Hall of Fame
Lynn S. Miggins, P.E., President

Lynn received the Cleveland Engineering Society (CES) Hall of Fame Award, the highest award given to an individual by the Society. The award is presented to engineers or design/construction professionals to honor outstanding achievements or careers. Recipients must demonstrate a track record of working toward the betterment of professional efforts. They must also have made outstanding contributions to the profession, the public welfare, and/or humankind.

Lorain County Chamber of Commerce Safety Council

For seven consecutive years, KS has received the 100% Award, which recognizes companies that work the entire year without a lost-time injury. And, for the third year in a row, KS received the Special Award, given to companies that reach the 500,000 mark for the number of injury-free hours worked. KS's 2011 Special Award recognizes the firm for achieving 640,499 hours free of lost-time injuries over a eight-year period (from 2003 to 2011). A lost-time injury is a work-related injury/illness where the affected person is unable to complete the next shift. Keeping safety top-of-mind is especially important for surveyors and field personnel who may work in hazardous environments.

KS Associates’ Survey Group won this first annual award for surveying services performed for the City of Cleveland on nine lakefront state parks. The award recognizes Professional Surveyors’ roles in providing practical solutions to surveying and mapping problems through training, skill and the application of new and evolving surveying technologies.

This prestigious award recognizes Northeast Ohio’s fastest-growing companies and is a highly regarded designation throughout the business community. For two years straight, KS Associates' marketing materials have been recognized in this annual competition. In 2007, our Survey Group Direct Mail Campaign won second place in the Direct Mail Category. In 2006 our corporate brochure won first place in the Brochure Category.

2003 Municipal Streets and Intersection Paving Award
Ohio Concrete Construction Association (OCCA)

The OCCA recognized KS Associates for design improvements to Riverfront Place in Lorain, Ohio. KS Associates was responsible for all design services and preparation of construction plans, right-of-way plans and a dedication plat for the new 28-foot-wide access roadway and adjacent parking areas for the Black River Park.

2001 Lorain County Beautiful Award
Lorain County Visitors Bureau
The Lorain County Visitors Bureau recognized KS Associates for its new 22,000-square-foot office building. The facility was designed to foster teamwork among employees and provide a progressive, energetic work environment. The property’s site plan was designed by KS Associates and is a direct reflection of the outstanding quality of work that employees strive to achieve in each project.
