Miller Park Boat Ramp

Miller Road Park is a 14-acre recreational area located along the Lake Erie shoreline. One amenity includes a boat launch with 24-hour access and a courtesy dock to improve access to the park for boaters. In 1994, Matrix Engineering, Inc. (now KS Associates, Inc.), performed a sand tracer study to determine the direction of sand infiltration into the ramp basin. Phase 1 included rehabilitation of 400 L.F. of the west breakwater to prevent sand infiltration. Construction cost: $200,000.

In 1998, Phase 2 included removal of 180 L.F. of the west breakwater, construction of a new 200 L.F. rubblemound extension to the north, and a new 410 L.F. east breakwater with a 310 L.F. rubblemound section and a 100 L.F. steel sheet pile fishing pier with a concrete walkway for public access. Construction cost: $1.2 million.
