KS Associates designed a new water main to replace an aged water main. The project consisted of 1,400 feet of 8-inch water main, 32 new service connections, hydrants and valves, sidewalk replacement, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), and drive apron replacement.
Services included the preparation of preliminary and final design plans, and an Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Cost.
The new water main was located outside of street pavement, requiring only one sidewalk replacement or tree lawn restoration to minimize construction costs. The new water main was also located on the same side of the street as the existing water main, further reducing potential costs for re-connection of service lines. Construction was completed in 2014.
Construction Cost Estimate: $216,660.
