KS Associates is thrilled to be among the attendees at the 2026 American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) National Coastal Conference. The event takes place October 5-8, 2026, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This year’s event is a Centennial Celebration commemorating 100 years of shore and beach presentation.
Christopher Day, P.E., will represent KS at the conference. A coastal engineer with 28 years of experience and specialized expertise in coastal modeling and resilient shoreline design, Christopher has helped advance projects that protect shorelines from erosion and wave action while improving habitat and long-term resilience.
Christopher can share his insights into projects including: a nature-based shoreline restoration project for the Scheeff East Point Preserve restoration for the Put-in-Bay Township Park District, which rebuilt eroded shoreline, reduced wave energy, and enhanced nearshore habitat; his role on the development of Ohio’s first Nature-Based Shoreline Training Program for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) with three nature-based shoreline installations as part of that program; and the six-year-long project for ODNR to restore 1.3-miles of stone revetment at the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, which protects one of Ohio’s finest remaining coastal wetlands.

The ASBPA National Coastal Conference Centennial Celebration welcomes all coastal managers and stakeholders to learn the latest science, engineering, and policy needed to maintain and improve the health of our beachfront and estuarine shorelines and ecosystems, while developing collaborative networks to promote best management practices.
