Mark Skellenger, P.E., Vice President and co-owner of KS Associates, Inc., has announced his retirement from full-time practice effective May 27, 2022. To provide KS Associates’ “Gold Standard” of service to clients, Skellenger will continue to perform project management duties for his active clients and projects on a part-time basis. Skellenger is one of the two founding principals of KS Associates and served as Vice President since the firm’s inception in 1987. He will continue to serve on the KS Board of Directors.
According to Lynn S. Miggins, P.E., President and majority owner of KS Associates, “Mark has been an exceptional business partner, someone who I’ve worked with side-by-side for the past 35 years. Mark’s leadership, intellect, and passion have helped to propel our clients’ and our firm’s success. Our team will miss Mark’s sense of humor, sincerity, and sharp wit.”
KS Associates was formed in 1987 when Skellenger and Miggins purchased the assets of Kleinoeder-Schmidt & Associates, a small engineering firm that served primarily municipal and residential development clients. He also helped to navigate the firm through tough years, including the 2008 foreclosure crisis.
Miggins added, “I owe Mark a debt of gratitude for his professionalism and friendship over the past three and a half decades. I know our employees are grateful for the wisdom and insight Mark has shared as they take the reins on some of his projects.”
