KS Associates provided civil engineering and surveying services for The Learning Experience Academy of Early Education, a childcare facility located on Pearl Road in Strongsville, Ohio, north of Ohio SR 82. This project supports the increasing demand for high-quality childcare and early education options for growing families. The Strongsville academy can accommodate 156 children of ages ranging from six weeks to six years.
KS Associates led site development services to support the new 10,000-square-foot building, driveways, and parking areas. The site design addressed grading, stormwater management to accommodate current and future needs, utility design, and compliance with local regulations to facilitate seamless permitting and construction.
One of the greatest challenges of the project was an existing TC Energy Pipeline Right-of-Way that traverses the site. To avoid disturbance to the pipeline, KS Associates designed a greenspace over the pipeline, which divides two banks of parking spaces. This feature not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the site, it also met TC Energy construction requirements. The site offers 41 parking spaces including two accessible stalls.
KS Associates also provided surveying services. This included performing boundary, topographic, and tree surveys, and writing a legal description for utility and access easements.
Final construction plans were delivered in June 2024. Construction was complete and the Owner received the occupancy certificate in December 2024.
