Walmart selected KS Associates as an engineering partner in 2001. Since that time, KS has managed the site development process for numerous new Walmart stores, store expansions, and Sam’s Clubs throughout Ohio. Walmart sites are typically 20+ acres and often anchor a larger retail development.
KS Associates provided the full complement of investigative and design services, secured all necessary entitlements, and provided support during construction. Our services included: conceptual planning; geotechnical investigations; environmental assessments; boundary and topographic surveys; traffic engineering; civil/site design including grading, drainage, utilities, earthwork, storm water pollution prevention, landscape, and lighting; structural engineering related to retaining walls; roadway and signal designs; estimating the construction cost of site improvements; securing entitlements from local and state authorities and agencies; coordinating design with architects; and supporting the Walmart manager during construction.
